Oh well. At least it was "spirited driving" you got to enjoy at least.

No problem. Just lend it to me for a couple of months
None of the four sets of tyres (I had on my 325i ( 2 sets of SO3's, 1 set of Dunlop SS01 - worst riding and noisiest tyre in the world, but ELECTRIC turn in - and the execrable Turanza's the car came with) lasted more than 20,000km! I'm not looking forward to the bills for the 18" tyres on the 8.....

Sway Bars and Coilovers = mug driver like me looking good! ie it improves the handling like you wouldn't believe!!!

On Saturday I took a mate of my up through the twisties at Vaucluse. He has a slighly tweaked Carrera and couldn't believe how well the 8 handles!........now if I only had his punch out of the corners!

After having the RX8 at Mallala on the test day, i was most impressed with the handling of the car for a stock car. However with sway bars alone there would be a huge improvement, the car would be absolutely flat, on a track like mallala this would give an extra 3-4 seconds per lap. Coil overs would have it's biggest impact on braking performance minimising nose dive and improving the front rear balance of the car.
