Angry Government Putting Revenue Before Safety

One motorists fight for justice.

The letter below is by Bruce Josephs whose unrelenting fight for justice in NSW has been featured on ACA a number of times. Here is his fight for justice and ideas for improving the system. This is amazing and detailed reading on the whole revenue over safety "speeding" fiasco.
Not sure who is interested in this sort of stuff but for those that are:

I think the large majority of automotive enthusists are already aware that the so called "speeding kills" campaing is pretty much proproganda.
The question is, what can we do about it?? It's similiar to how the gov has just finished the cross city tunnel in Sydney. They've closed of numerous roads to encourgage peopple to use the new tollway.. but it costs $8ish to use it.. No one likes it and knows it's a farce..
but what can we do about it..
In reality, we all choose to live in this country and thus we must accept what rules and reg the gov imposes.. If we don't like it.. then we can choose to live elsewhere.

NO, thats the biggest bunch of BS i have heard all day. This country happens to be a democracy, thus we the people run the country and make the rules. As so called motoring enthusiasts i would expect such issues to be high on your agenda when voting.

This Australian attitude of lets just bend over and take it pisses me off. I would expect you guys to be a little more concerned over such issues, especially when the article clearly points out the illegal practices the government is using against motorists to raise revenue.

PS: If you don't like the cross city tunnel there is something you can do about it.......don't use it. Its must be clearly very dangerous anyway considering it opened with speed cameras from day one.

No, i live in a democratic country where everyone is entitled to their say and vote. The whole point is that if you shut up and dont complain then they believe that what they are doing is right and will continue. If enough people stood up like this guy and proved scientifically that its all BS then maybe they will back down.

Hehe, how did I know this would get into a state v state talkfest. :D

I can understand the Mexicans wanting to move there but any state that can produce Joh, Beattie, Pauline and Barnaby is, ahem, not on my list of places to live.

Always enjoy a good holiday when I get up there though.

oh but I am xenophobic :o

I have a real, dinky-di, down to earth morbid fear of photocopiers

They jam as soon as I am in the same room...or ask anything urgent to be photocopied by someone else.

Someonetold me I had bad karma with these things, but I told them there was *nothing* calm about me near a photocopier

:p

And thay ain't no rash...my neck's always been red
