Looks like I have a lot of catch up reading to do, I changed to Norton Internet Security 2004 a few weeks ago and since then had not been able to read the forum. Unbeknowns to me the ad blocking hid all of the posts. Now that I have switched it off, its good to be back.

 

I hate NIS. My parents use that on their computer. While visiting them, we couldn't figure out why Internet Explorer wasn't working (and I'm a Compuer Science major). After a good 40 minutes (which delayed our departure for home!), my wife figured out that it was NIS blocking the internet. Disabling that took care of the problem. I'm not sure why it was doing that, as I didn't have a look at it, but anything geared toward boneheads that allows the user to get that far out of sorts is garbage in my book.
