For those in the US, that's about $3,073 for the rims. Not sure if it comes with tires.

That is pretty pricey for SF Challenges, so far in the US it's about 2100 without tires, 3200 with Z-Rated tires.

Consider yourself lucky and stay away from the Australian forum... you don't have to bash us with your low price. This is very annoying... we are already paying higher price for the car

Philip could you send me a few pic of the rim? you know my email ...

i don't have pics yet but i try to get them soon
they are the same as what the guy in the states have
only the fact that the offsets are different
i was told that what the guy in the state had will rub over speed humps
so instead of the back offset being 36 its 48
make the dish 1cm smaller

Not trying to bash, if I did, I would let you know in a more forward manner. Merely stating that things in Australia are pricey... I didn't think so when I went there on a business trip before. Food, Hotels, everything seemed on the average pricing. That is why I was surprised to see that a Japanese part would cost that much... considering Japan is closer to you guys than the US.

Australia is quite pricey compared to other places around the world irrespective of proximity of location.

Guess how much a Mustang was when they were sold brand new here in Australia a few years ago?

$90000 AUD

Viper GTS?

$225000 AUD

or how about some Japanese cars, Integra Type R (Acura RSX-S)?

$44000 AUD

STi?

$56000 AUD

or some Euro cars, BMW M3?

$150000 AUD

Elise 111R?

$98000 AUD

or some car accessories, HKS Rx8 Catback?

$2200 AUD

RX8 Genuine Mazda Alloy fuel lid?

$550 AUD

You guys have it lucky over in the States.

Sorry for the thread hi jack Phil.

Our coffee and food still cheap. :p

Everyone know cars are expensive in Australia. But we have cheaper petrol and cheaper food.

Not to talk to Singaporians... they paid 4 times as much for your RX-8 outlaw!!

Phil take a few angle of the car with the rim to see if I suits my car (hang on... your car is red isn't it?). I am still thinking Phil. I will let you know.

I guess the problem of pricy Japanese parts is lack of genuine distributor and not a lot of Australian are into classy mods from Japan.

Just look at the Autosalon they have in Sydney and Melbourne. They are still living in the 80s :p.

I am a track guy not a show guy and I found it is very hard to do cheap. I am heading HK for parts rather - I was forced to do that!

Dang, I'll avoid buying a car there for sure... I heard someone in Mongolia bought an RX-8 for about US $12,000... they are two times cheaper than US$.

Good luck selling those rims, they are my favorite!!

Taka,

If you buy these rims, champagne will fall from the heavens, women will fight over each other to get at you, Ferraris and Lamborghinis will pull over to let you through, and all the boys in Sydney will celebrate from the commission they earnt.

Just joking...... only about the last part though, seriously these are hot rims.
You know you want them!

Will you put that in writing and sign a legally binding contract?
I'm sure 8ABY 8 needs a lackey to work at his shop. :p

I saw some of this pic and in fact I saw a lot with different colour RX-8s.

They are very nice. I am not concern with look.

I am more concern with being a 19" with wide ones at the back. The Volks wheel I am going to get will not see the track. So able to rotate, small and cheaper are the main points. $4200 is too expensive to spend on the wheel on the street. I can save about 1K on a CE28N on a 18" from HK. There is too much work involve I know. And I agree the Challenge is a better looking wheel - just too expensive. :D

I may pass unless my stock sudden goes up or about to go down. It is doing so steady well that nearly all my cash is in stock. I am actually a very poor man
