i was out last night watching star wars episode 3... usually i don't drive coz i live in the city but for some reason i chose to drive out... i parked my car on the street, watched the movie and all was good.. until i got home. that's when i noticed that my front mesh (the middle component which shields the radiator) was gone! someone obviously stole my numberplate and since the plate was cable tied on... they kicked the whole mesh in to take the plate.

such an inconvenience! where should i go to get the mesh replaced?

Do you mean the hymee grill mesh or the factory stock mesh ?
Bummer either way, did you have personalised plates or just standard?

It's amazing the numbers of plates stolen, which must be for criminal purposes since they take normal plates.
were your plates personalised or just std?

 

nah i don't have the hymee kit.. it's actually not a standard mesh coz i got a ms bumper put on... they just kicked it in, damaged the bumper in the process and took the plate.. yeh the plates were personalised RXXX8 in sydney!

noooooooooo. the film was ok. ironically i was laughing at other cars parked on the street, because they had their front plates either half falling off or missing as well... and yeh. pretty brave to steal plates in the middle of the city

 

Man I'd be upset to lose 350 dollar plates, don't know about laughing.
I guess you gotta return the ones at the back and get whole new ones.
I've seen your car around. You usally park in the markets underground car park don't you.
I'll look out for this one as i park there oftenly when rushing for uni.

 

thats f*#ked mate, soory to hear that.
there will be some minor problems if you are going to get the plate re-issued from the RTA.
a mate of mine has same thing happened, went to RTA and got one of them re-issues, no problems there, paid the money and put on the car and get on with his life.... from then on he gets pulled over almost everynight by the cops because the plates are registered as stolen. its just a hassle that you have to explain the story everytime

btw, i saw starwars last night too and i would say the acting in that was so crap, looked really fake, expecially when darth vader goes "nooooo" at the end...
