I'm noticing a whistling type noise behind my right ear (no, I don't have a blonde in the back seat! :D ).

Seems to be getting louder with the passage of time but maybe that's my imagination. Also seem to get some kind of vibration noise there when the stereo is on.

I'm thinking one of the door seals isn't sealing so good anymore. Will take it up with my service guy next service.

Any ideas in the meantime as to what it is? Anyone else strike this before?

I attempted a search but I couldn't find anything specific (admittedly my search terms might have been a bit woolly).

I have the same problem too..
i only ever notice this when i drive fast... its not quite a whistle, but its as if i haven't wound my window up all the way.

is this the same problem you are having?

i'd be interested to what the resolution to this is!

 

Check if you have a rat stuck on the door :p... well that is a good start :D

 

just check the little window in the suicide door is fully closed. Sometimes the over-centre latch is not fully closed

 

I have the same whistle... it also will be getting looked at when I next visit my dealer (maybe when Mazda gets around to notifying us about the recall).

 

I notice it at slower speeds too. Your description is pretty close - its the kind of sound that prompts you to check the door is shut properly.

No, not that either. I've checked it plenty of times and mine is firmly shut. Indeed, I don't think I've ever opened mine. Also the sound is closer than that.
