hey all i just brought a set of d2 coilovers for my rx8 does anyone on the forum have them already on if so how do u like them ??

Just beware lowering your car to much. They have the same issues as the Racing Logic. They wil coil bind when to low.

Out of interest, how did you come about the info Andrew?

 

HOw did I come about the info on Racing Logic? or the fact the D2's are the same?

The RL I came across ... well just do a search on Racing Logic in this forum and you will find out.

As for the D2's being the same, my understanding is they use the same spring perch setup as the OEM like the RL's and the same spring length as OEM, like the RL's and hence the same inherint flaw when it comes to lowering them...they aren't designed to be that low and so bind.

How much lowering do u ppl think will be ok , i was going to go 3inch all round hows that sound ??

 

Like WAY to much. can you give a full size shot of that last pic. I wanna see if the springs are the same.

 

are the springs the same if so how much do u recomend to lower the car by , can i make a set ov custom springs for them then could i lower it more u think??

OK here is the deal. Those rear springs are very tight...just like the OEM ones. The question is, how much adjustment do you have using the height adjustment. I hoestly doubt you have 75mm of adjustment full stop let alone from stock height.

I comfortably have mine lowered so the lip is just over my tyres. I also switched from 2" of pretension to 1".
