I think everyone is making some valid points here.

It's all a matter of degree. You should be able to express an opinion but it needn't be done in a nasty fashion. Conversely, those putting a mod up for discussion should remember that most people in here mean well and their sense of humour might not always translate well to the written word.

So, let's all chill and enjoy our cars. It's a broad church and everyone should feel welcome to share their particular ideas for their car without getting into a flame war over it.

Correct - Colt from the 1870's. Issued to US Army officers.

As for the thread - I think there's been a ceasefire.

Elite-RX8,

If it makes any difference to you, i'd like to apologise if I have offended you in any way. Rest assured it was never my intention. By nature, I'm usually very frank and honest about something - if I dont like it, I say it the way it is.

Having said that, I still stand by what I said and wont retract my comment. This is a discussion forum and everyone is entitled to their own opinon as long as its within the rules of the forum.

If you find it hard to take criticism of ANY sort, then its probably a better idea to refrain from making posts like those which either directly or indirectly ask the general forum users for their opinions.

In future, I wont comment on any of your mods, or your opinions as its pretty obvious we're not all on the same wavelength here.

Sorry mate, didnt realise this became heated up due to worries concerning the seller not being able to sell his product after I said what i said. (As indicated via PM).

My apologies again, to you and your friend (the seller).

So has anyone got this **** with the RP short shifter? Does it do anything to change the transmitted gearbox noise? (wondering about the effect of the rubber spacer)...

Will,

I installed the Auto-Exe **** shortly after I had the RP short shifter installed and I have not noticed any intrusive gearbox noise.

Mind you, I don't rest my hand on the gear lever while driving and my installer was very experienced (thanks 'Mez ).

Not sure if the Auto-Exe **** helps but it sure doesn't hurt from what I can tell.

just received the **** today. install was one minute job. take out old **** and screw in the new one. :D have to say, it felt kinda small when I first had it installed (compared to my old Nardi one...) but you soon get used to it. the feel is very good and quality is excellent. I liked the look and feel of it too. oh and I haven't heard too much gear noise coming through but I will determine that later after driving some more.
