What gives?? I posted pics of my car bra 6 months ago and got slammed! (It has removable velcro parches for the headlight washers too BTW).
They may not look beautiful, but they make sense for an interstate drive. Such a fickle audience!

hey i'm interested.
do we know what robco's bras are like?
holes in the bumper for the washers?
there is something curious on the robco website...it says something about not using on cured and hardened paint. I thought all paints are cured and hardened before they leave the factory???

Robco is situated at :49 Shepherd st , Marrickville 2204.
ph:02 95605393
If you or another forum members checks their bras out we will then be able to see the fit and quality of their products ,
If andrew sharpens his price i may buy Aussie instead of American .
No need to worry the paint on your RX8 IS WELL AND TRULY CURED .

Hi guys.. Marrickville is real close to me.. As i have a commercial propery there too..
If i find the time i would not mind dropping in looking at the quality of product they supply.. maybe get 8A8Y 8 to come along as its not far from him either.. just for a second opinion of course.

Lock and Load,
Is your U.S.A sourced car bra the official Factory car bra with the nice little Rx8 logo printed on it?
I have the official bra from Mazda America with the logo on it ,it fits like a glove and looks fantastic.
I was down in Melbourne (from Albury) a few weeks ago and everybody was admiring it which normally isn't the case with a car bra on.
I was fortunately very lucky to purchase from Rosenthal Mazda before they started charging like a wounded bull for delivery to Australia on their website(my former user name was George Thomas).
Congratulations on your purchase.
Regards
Rexi

I think i have seen the one you guys have. i saw it on a US web site. Looks sooooo much better than the Aus ones. And at $200 bucks still a lot cheaper.
How did you go with the Headlight washers? Do you just disable them when you have it on?
thanks for the responses

With the headlight washers there seems to be two options , one is to disable them or get the bra cut to allow them to stay functional .(i am afraid they may look like yellow nipples sticking out )
I have not decided which option to take as yet , i have to weigh up the pros and cons
cheers

I was thinking about getting the bra cut for the headlight washers but then also getting patches of the same material made and use velcro to stick them on when driving thru the day. .... similar to the Aus model.
Don't know how pratical this is would be though....

Solution to car bra instalment .
The connection to the motor that cotrols both the wiper washers and the headlight washer(WHICH WORKS ON WATER PRESSURE FROM WINDSHIELD WASHER )is situated right below the wiper washer container , if you unplug the connection you have disabled the front headlight washer , problem solved , however you wont be able to spray or use your windshield wiper washer .
Its no major dramma just make sure your front windshield is clean before you put on your car bra and disconnect the washers , and then reconnect it when you are not using the bra .
.
cheers'
