I appreciate you're not passing it off as fact, but others should note that just because the power levels are the same, doesnt mean they are the same maps.

Australia goes to euro 3 next year which the UK is currently on. So since the oz-spec and the original euro 3 euro-spec cars were quoted as the same ECE/DIN power figure, it logically follows that there is a good chance that the UK would have got the same maps. But they went with Euro 4 maps instead.

The US has it's own emissions standards (I think it's LEV2?) to meet. Not only that but they don't use the ECE method of measuring power but rather SAE, which *should* read higher than ECE because it uses a lower standard intake temp. So the fact that the power figures line up between the US and Australia really dont tell you much. If anything, it tells you they're different.
