Question: How do you screw up a $70k sale that falls in your lap?

A: Order the wrong car.

I ordered the car black/black May 5 in Canberra, got the book, had the drive day, bought the plates - and my car arrives September 1 with red interior. (computer input error - colour change wasn't effected)
Dissapointing after all that waiting as we were looking forward to the whole sleeek black and silver look.

Oh well made somebody who had to wait till December for their black/red car very happy. Imagine getting your car in Dec/03 only to have approx. $7k value wiped off in depreciation a month later.

I'll be waiting for the new year before I reorder, and will be shopping for the best deal.

You think the least they would do is refund my deposit ...SLOW...

Anyway, what do you think of my plate choice - XLR 88X, black on white NSW.

 

At least you have the choice of thinking about your colour choice. IMO, black doesn't do anything for the lines of the car - you tend to lose the styling notes in the gloomyness of it all. I've seen a couple of black 8's around, and at first glance I didn't recognise them as such. Once again, IMO, the stand-out colours are Velocity Red and Winning Blue.

I do agree with your opinion on the all-black interior. I find the colour inserts dead lairy. We have the fabric seats and are very pleased with the overall look. We find the combination of black-grey-silver very attractive, and the contrast of fabrics in the seats is well done.

That would have been me if I live in Canberra. I want a black/red(int.). Hmm... Production date is 29 Sept.. You think I will get the car by 31 Oct?

 

Ha, that is me, black w/red interior in Canberra, had to get mine from Albury too lol Could have saved myself a drive.

 

Nice to see I'm not the only one who loves black. By the way, there's a 'Velocity Red' that's been sitting on the showroom floor of my local dealer since Aug 8. Anyone interested? call Clyde Mazda, Batemans Bay, NSW.

I waited 4 weeks or so from production date, 'Sigh', still waiting.

If anyone in NSW wants my plate 'eXeLeR 8 8 X', make me an offer.

 

hey there is also a RED RX8 with red leather in the Brighton Mazda VICTORIA that no one wants. The yellow one has just been sold. *vomit*
