The wheels in the picture is when I had the Axis, I now have the HREs... Also, the original MS kit is the way to go; the copies are not up to par...

Neither are the majority of people's wallets especially us in australia
who pay a shitload for any parts manufactured elsewhere in the world and not stocked here locally for example...this mighty fine kit.

cheers.

yes, the real ms kit will cost something around 6000-7000 for the full kit...
but i think the real ms kit definitly is unrivaled but it's replicas, firstly, the grill, the prepainted colors, the under tray on the front and sides... almost looks like the kit is part of stock. very good instead

anyway im planning to get the real kit too in 2-3weeks time after i finish my uni exams. but will only be the front and sides for the time being, the wing and rear have to wait. will post pics once i get them!!!

Real kit does not do me cortc. To be honest $7000 I can buy a Greddy and spend a bit more for the tuning and installation.

It is nice but I have limited budget for my car really. The stock market is too kind at the moment

but the greddy wont be much help at 7psi, only a few extra torque at low end.
and then warrenty will be gone for sure and i hear too much trouble already from the U.S boys... very hard to tune... the hks supercharger is also coming, can't wait for that as well

lazymark, i live in melbourne, so it's hard to split the order once it arrives... and i thought you wanted the replica???

Firstly, it will. At least the excess will be more.
One trick. Tell them that it comes with the car and get that kit put on in the dealer.
That WILL be counted as accessories and you will be ok.

Secondly, depends on your insurance. When I was your age, I went to the driving course and drop from rating 6 to rating 3.

And the other trick is do you want to "insure" the kit. Ie what specifically do you need to insure against.

You may be able to exclude items that do not have a material impact on the performance. Ie you are not changing the the mechanical performance of the vehicle with a kit.

I'd highly recommend a specialist insurer at your age!

I'm 40, so age isn't a worry(well it is for other reasons) but i agreed to a excess of $1200 and excluded some clauses and it dropped my premium but 40%. Over and above no claim bonus etc.

It really really pays to shop around. My wife's MGA we insured through Lloyds of London first time round, car club guy's were blown away by the premium. Spend $5 on phone calls, (which is hard!) it'll pay off.

ONly been in NZ a year so most fo what I'm writing is Aus experience.

Best of

M

Worth the 20c to find out, they may vary, on a prepaid it's pretty much up to them.
