Body kits in OZ
ok, first of all. like to say hi to everyone. currently not an Rx8 owner but my deposit is down and it should be in my driveway in 5 weeks time (ordered 2 weeks ago).
Ive been browsing the forums and websites and havent found the info im after...
to the best of my knowledge so far, veilside and ms bodykits are easy to get in australia or thereafter replicas. if so where do ya'll suggest to order from (being from adelaide).
In particular, im after, either an ing n-spec front, an autoEXE front or an r magic front but cannot find a reasonably priced way of getting any of these cos i would probably have to import it (ps. dont mind if its a replica).
Any advise on others experience with gettin ANY kits in australia without having to pay heaps on shipping something to australia from japan or something.
Thanks. and oh yeh - excited to be part of the rx8 population. cant wait!!!

First of all welcome.
Secondly, I don't think any shop in Australia import them in stacks as we are still a VERY small market. You can get ANYTHING you like from Japan and every shop in Melbourne, or even Adelaide would know how to find them, in a cost of course.
Good luck.
EDIT: XSpeed in WA does replica MS kit.
EZZY here knows where to get them too!

just called carmate and both the veilside and ms front bar are $420 each and skirts are an extra $300 a pair. shipped to adelaide would cost about $90 sent to adelaide. I spoke to steven. does anyone know of any cheaper?
In my own opinion. i dont like eather of the front bars..... but thats another matter

Has anyone fitted any of these kits? Must admit I like the MS sides and at $300 they're a cheap option.
Ezz, what would the paint and fit up cost usually for a full kits? I'm assuming these are primed prices?

I've driven mine hard for extended periods in very hot weather and have not noticed such a problem.
I'd be reluctant to add weight and drag unless there was a functional element to the kit.

You have to have a water temp meter to know the difference... or logging it with sCANalyser

Drag = with lower clearance to the ground there will be much less air going through the bottom and will give a better downforce to the ground. Don't you want that?
Function = with the bigger mouth there will be more air through the oil cooler(s) and radiator
Price = if it does not fit well then it is pointness...

as i'm not familiar with getting body kits installed, i was wondering if they let you keep your original bumper??? do they put the mazda badge back on? and as takahashi said, what happens with the foglights?
thinking now, may just wait till i have an accident to get a new front bumper! =) it'll prob only be a couople extra weeks wait

Of course they let you keep the original. It is simply the bolt on. 6 clips on the top anf 10 clips in the bottom. SHould be perfect fit with all the bolts goes to the same place.
Fog lights you need a bracket that goes from the struts of the body to hold the fogs. You can buy them seperately.
I wished the stupid P plate hit harder last time, I could have a free MS front bumper now :o
