I just had 5000KM service, and starting to push hard on my car, i don't know what rpm i was at,(maybe it's around the red line) and i hear this beep sound everytime i shift. Is this normal ??

The beep is normal. I happens at 8500rpm to remind you to shift.

Shifting at redline on every shift is not normal, though.

On a completely unrelated note, you should really give some thought to reading the thick book that came in the glove compartment.

You have to watch the beep though it can cause a six step chain reaction...

off the loud pedal
on the clutch
shift
off the clutch
loud pedal to the metal
grin

.. that last one is the problem... after a while your cheeks start to hurt.

I notice that since I have just passed 4,000 kms that the engine is reving to the redline much more freely - I have to hold back in the city that second gear is way too fast...

On another note,

does anyone know where I can find a Monster Rice Tacho.

It'd go well with my new Veilside stickers.

Some help please. Thanks in advance.

Don't rush mattzen and lazymark... break in is a little like foreplay... enjoy it for a while before you go after that climax at the top of the rev range.

whats wrong with the factory tacho?
an aftermarket tacho is actually a very useful device (if didnt come with the car).... so i wouldnt call it rice.
the word "rice" can be over used sometimes

you can get external shift light with differenr rpm "pills" to set it alight at certain rpm check out the autometer range or give rocket industries a buzz

Chillax Ezzy.

I'll let you in on the "Rice tacho".

It measures RICEness of the car.

Its a joke. Please don't take it personal.

There's nothing wrong with a factory tacho, but if i didnt have a tacho

I would no means go and purchase a 'Monster fully sick tacho' that can go on my ROOF/BONNET!

Cheers.
Tuan.
