Australian trader for RX-8 parts

Hi, just wondering if any of the traders in this forum is local in Australia? I just don't want to pay the shipping costs from the states. If none, where do you guys get your parts?

Nope. None are Australian, a few people ship from Japan which is a little cheaper.

Cheers

There are quite a number of shops (not on the forum though) which have RX8 parts shelved here in Sydney. I personally have always ordered from overseas if the savings are more than $500'ish as local prices are usually quite expensive as they factor in their time, expensive courier chargers, shop costs etc and usually mark their prices up a bit because RX8's parts arent really fast moving stock.

I've mostly ordered things which cost over $1500 (RRP) from overseas as you'll save quite a bit of money importing it yourself (especially if you remain below the tax threshold).

The only place where I've noticed prices are not overly expensive here in Sydney is BelGarage. They're cheaper than most others when it comes to imported parts but as with other things, you'll save money buying from Japan yourself anyway.

I've also used Online Mazda Parts and saved some dough.

japanparts.com is also worth a look to compare prices.

Never get parts through your dealer if you can avoid it.
