I'm now taking requests for photo's of the rx-8 at the Melbourne Motor Show in March. Whatever you want, I will do my best to get it for you, but I assure you, there will be NO videos of the RX-8 at high speed escaping police.* So send em all in to this thread and I'll let you know. I don't know what colour it will be, or the leather seats or whatever, so let's clear this up now and I can take orders!

We've got one (inadvertently) from NAIS, but how a shot of the VIN plate on the firewall? We can see if it appears to be the same, or if the numbering is consistent. It might answer a few questions. Thanks, and enjoy the show!

 

I for one would like to see a good shot of the radio and dash area. All of the pics that I have seen cut off one thing or another. Just a few photos, one of the stereo, one of the nav, one of the ac/radio controls. Thanks!

EDITL Oh, also a good pic of the back seat from the driver's location. No one seems to have taken a pic like that for some reason.

is the model shown in the show will be the same model as the 1 that will be released in oz (interior,etc)?
or all of them are actually the same ( overseas and oz)

 

I'd imagine that it would be Aus-spec.

I'd like a close up of the boot to see if the Bose sound system impacts on the storage area (e.g a subwoofer sticking out under the parcel shelf)

Agree with JTek_55 about photos of the central consiole area. All the photos to date have been at an angle rather than face on, and often missing part of the con. A good face on photo showing all the buttons would be great.

Also, if you can, a photo showing rear seat pass through from the boot will answer a burning question that hasn't been answered to date. Personally I don't think the RX8 has this feature as it isn't mentioned in any official or unoffical articles anywhere. Prove me wrong and you'll please a lot of people !

1 more. ON the Jap models there is a red 'Start' button (like the one in the Honda S2000) to the side of the steering wheel. It would be nice to know if this feature is being carried in the Australian model or if it's only for the Jap market.

 

I'd like to see pics of the rear window defroster. (for Window tint purposes)

If there is a Titantium Gray model, do the windows appear to be tinted more than just slightly?

Due to unforseen circumstances. I was unnable to take any photoes of the 8 at the MMS. The same thing happened last year. We forgot the damn camera. It looked great, but was on a squeaky turntable and only the pasenger side doors were open. Nissan had 3 Z's. A Tourer; a track and o Track w/ bodykit. You could sit in the Tourer but I didn't.
