The car was good... it is a just a defense driving course...

As a matter of fact I am signing in for a Sandown Drive day in April 16th. But have to run with Ferraris and Lambo though

Sandown looks a bit like what we did at the ProDrive day which is free for all UK owners. Had a fantastic time and took some pictures.

Cheers

I did the Murcott course at Oran Park. I probably wouldn't pay $300 of my own money to do it, but for free it was definately worth doing.

The Murcott course was good, but I really wanted to do the next level course and get out on the circuit.

The Level 1 course is basically the same as 10 years ago... but 10 years ago I was doing it in the carpark of Sandown not on track. But this time I only did those 3 moves but I remember I did more 10 years ago.

I reckon the best courses are the ones run by local car clubs. In the ones I've been involved in for a fee of $65 you get to learn some decent braking ( wet and dry) and maneuvering techniques, then you get taught the lines of the track (mallala) and for the last half of the day you get to attack the track at high speed (at your own comfort) with an instructor next to you and the really competent ones are then let loose on their own (there often aren't too many of these).

The courses are run by enthusiasts who want to be there sharing their knowledge and skills, not by employees who have to be there.

However it is much more then $65... I wish to drive in the Mallala again. I love that track!

Yeah - I wasn't actually going to bother - interested to see what the feedback was.

I'm going to get the car out to Wakefield soon on one of their Track Days.

Anyone interested?
