Forget the hp, for $20 this guys tells you how to reprogram the RX-8 ECU! Bloody bargain. Hymee, Sco, why couldn't you crack this yet? Must be because you are only software engineers, not a real engineer like this guy....
The free stuff at the end is also pretty good. I'd be especially interested in his tips on painting the interior of my car.

5c resistor for $20. This one's been bashed to death elsewhere in the forum... if you're interested in reading more... do a search.
Spot the oxymoron and blatant lie in this ...
"When the ECU reads this, it lean out the air/fuel mixture-in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel (around 0.5L per 100 km as tested on 1.8L engine) to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees"
I'm really interested in the polish your valve cover info... that'll be really useful!

I thought the IAT sensor was in the MAF as well. (In reference to how it doesn't work on the Mitsu's)
Playing with resistors was one of the earliest tuning tricks. Tricking the 'puter into thinking the temp was different and getting the ECU to adjust accordingly, hopefully trying to get a beneficial result.
Cheers,
Hymee.

Blithely ignoring the peril he is in, Hymee continues to discuss the dreaded eBay item.
Oh, that's right - he has the bullet proof mod suit! :D :D
