BTW, can the organisers please clarify licencing arrnagements for Winton?

Now that they also own Wakefield, will they recognise a Wakefield Licence?

Taka's "Announcement" talks about "AASA" licences, that can be obtained at the track but on my reading, it's a bit more complex than that -- AASA's regs don't look like something that can be completed on the day -- see http://www.wintonmotorraceway.com.au...%20licence.pdf

And here's the licence application:
http://www.wintonmotorraceway.com.au...pplication.pdf

Or perhaps I am reading this all wrong

timbo,

The 1st link is related to a National Competition license. Not necessary for what we want to do. You literally need to fill the form in the 2nd link out on the day and pay the prescribed amount.

I am waiting on a call back from Winton to confirm but I am pretty sure that as we are non-competition they will honour the WP license.

I have seen first hand that people pay for the AASA licence on the spot and track on the same day. In fact, I think they handle about 20 new licence on Honda and EXE club day, so volume was not seen to be a problem either.

It will be good if the Wakefield licence can be used there... we better confirm that with Heather...

Suddenly Wakefield becomes an AASA track

Speaking of AASA license, I haven't received mine since I applied last March (on the spot). Did anyone else who applied on the spot already received theirs?

Did you go to their office to get the card? It may still be sitting in the office.... They will have your number on file, that I am quite certain. The licence number is the critical thing, not just the card (which bears the number).

Sorry it is RX-8 Nationals and for RX-8 only... or the previous owners/members/helpers involved

BTW check the post and announcement thread and any other 10 areas that I have posted the price.
https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=160

$450 gets you accom, food, track day. All you need is a licence and helmet and a sound car on top of that.

Can I reqeust one of those apartment style rooms as it is Danielle and my 4th Wedding anniversary. I don't think she wants to remember it as having slept with 20 guys!

Still for her to be happy in us both coming up and spending the weekend on our anniversary is a real credit to the people that make up this forum!!!!

Yes its true, I was getting in some practise today but I heard a rumour some New South Welshmen have been visiting Winton and getting in practise

Stu, from the sounds of it we need to put you in the furthest corner away from everyone so you dont have to worry about noise

Unfortunately I am coming on my lonesome. I'm happy with shared accommmodation so long as everyone can put up with my snoring

Cheers..... Otto
