You should post this, as well, in the San Bernardino/Riverside RX-8 Meet... BTW, if that RX-8 ends up in a part-out, I need the passenger tail light, LOL!!!

I did read some where on here that they are crushing street racers cars in california and make thier owners watch. It hurts to see. Just take it to the track and leave your kids well supervised at home and NOT in the back seat. stupid people

I know of GT-Rs sold by SIGNAL and 240SXs with SR20DET engines being impounded and crushed. CHPs has trained eyes to look for aftermarket parts and use that as a reason for street cars impounded. Furthermore, it doesn't matter how many times fatal accidents like this are shown to the general population, there will always be knuckleheads who will under estimate what damage their vehicles could do.

It's very stupid to race in the first place, but to pass a car by crossing the double yellow is beyond stupid.

Happened to a good friend of mine and, when the driver hit his car(by crossing the yellow line)it shattered his kids liver. Miles(the kid) is better now,but it killed the driver of the speeding car.

The track is a fun place and here is Sacramento we have one. Every wed night,14 bucks and you can race.

It's scary to see how instantly accidents can happen, even if you are paying close attention. I was on my way home Friday night, going through a green light, when a young woman in a SUV on the side street on my right "appeared" to be stopping for her red light to make a right hand turn into my lane. Well, she faked me out by slowing, but then did not stop and accelerated into my lane directly in front of me. Even with my horn blaring she kept right on going. I don't know how I got the car stopped fast enough and out of her way, because she was right on top of me in an instant. At the next intersection I rolled down the window and "asked" if she was drunk, and with quite the 'tude she screamed back something like "what YOU gotta learn is that sometimes people don't see EVERYTHING". Guess she told me! I should have followed her and called the police to do a sobriety check. Hope she didn't kill anyone that night....

Interesting to see in the San Bernardino crash how well the RX-8 held up, compared to the accordianed sedan that was hit. Amazing....
