Thanks dude, I would of taken a lot more pictures, but since it was taken with my cell phone I didn't wanna run out of space. I wish, I had my other camera I would taken a lot more, and they would of been a lot clearer! But, overall it was a fun day!

i smoked my corners...


i used TAMIYA PS-31 (from Hobby Land or Hobby People -- Sahara & Decatur)

did the whole can (3 oz) to cover the amber corners. i would've sanded and prepped it, but it was my first try. it looked ok w/out wetsanding it, but i decided to put a light smoke vinyl overlay (left over from me doing my headlights) to give it some protection and give it a more "clean" look.

i also just finished smoking the tails...

(don't mind the HELLO KITTY decal on the freezer...its the wifey's idea )


...i bought another set of tails and decided to try this "experiment" took a few days to do the smoke (also used the Tamaya-- 4 cans), clear coat, then wet sand and polish... i wouldn't say its "perfect", but it sure beats dishing out $$$ to get them done.

The tails look good Marko, but I dont think I would do them on our 8. I have a fear of getting hit in the back at at stop. People always stop right up on my ***. I hate it.

We had a great turnout at my garage meet. Hope every one had a good time.

 

They're not totally blacked out like how you usually see them. lights come up nice and bright... i'll take daytime pics later.

I'm off today (Monday) too! Gotta take son to school and have to do errands.. i should really call it "catch-up" day instead of day off...

So i finally got my car back. Drove it out of the body shop and saw that i needed gas. So i went on my lunch to get gas. Then i get stuck in traffic. With a cop right behind me. My registration expired right when i got my crash. We was planning to go to renew it the weekend after i crashed it. So the cop pulls me over today. My license is also expired. This was just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was had no way of renewing my registration without driving the car cus i needed to get a smog check. But anyway luckily he was cool and he didnt tow it away. But i have court in june. Car looks good tho.

Saw this too late again... just came back from Cane's...

On another note... is there a detail shop that can "work" the car over to fix and clean up the paint finish? or would i need to go to a body shop? the thing w/ a black colored car--every little scuff or the minute scratch shows up.
