Want to get speed bleeders but don't know exact diameter, thread pitch, and overall length. Don't want to take the screw off to find out and introduce air into the system...
Using my little measuring calipers I got about 3/8'' (10mm?) for the rear, and about 5/16 (8.5mm?) for the front diameter. But obviously I don't know the length or pitch. The guy @ www.raceshopper.com -- where I usually get my speed bleeders -- did not know, but did tell me "Bleeder screws are available in 3/8", 5/16", 8mm, or 10mm. - AND they are all different."
The local Mazda parts counter did not know either. I will call another Mazda parts counter and see if they have one in stock and can measure it for me. I will also buy a FSM and see if that tells me. But I'm not sure either will help...
oh poo does the clutch and brakes share a master?? in which case I'd need to bleed both?? what about an ABS unit that needs bleeding?
i lost track of time and have forgotten about the *ONLY TWO* FSM's on ebay... hopefully another one will pop up sometime... but maybe not b/f I get to the brakes...
thank you for the part #'s. why didn't Edwin @ raceshopper not know what I was talking about... if he had sold them before?!
This thread ranks higher than the other one for some reason and so to not have to sift through that entire other thread like I did since the first page is full of confusion...
