check out the titan gear ***.

go check on the web site. go into mazda. and look for the gear ***.

i just did order one for my car from richie. it will look very nice for sure. and i think after you use. the more you rub it the colour goes to blue. then if you don't use it for a while, then the colour come back to the colour on the photo.

you can placed an order at www.equibs.com.

its ok its on a 350Z coz it will fit the RX8 also. coz Z and 8 are both 10mm.

Have a look guys.

I've had a titanium gear **** on mine since last October and it's neither too hot nor too cold. In fact, I find it just right. Much better than the stock **** IMHO.

Mind you, mine is just a plain Auto-Exe one - it doesn't change colour when you rub it.

is it a screw on type? much like the stock ****?
i'm thinking of getting a new one as my current one is a bolt on and tends to get loose and needs tightening up time to time..

Assuming that's directed at me playa, yes it is. Screws straight on and weighs about the same too.

Even I managed to successfully instal it.

I've only noticed it turning once or twice - quickly remedied by a twist of the **** (so to speak).

I don't think so Elite.

Mine looks to be polished metal.

Put it this way - if it was paint I would have expected one or two scratches to have shown that by now. So far it looks brand new still.

Elite,

Car's at home, I'm at work.

Got 'Er Indoors at a weak moment and she agreed to take some photos of my **** (so to speak ).

Unfortunately, she couldn't get enough light onto it in our garage (even with a torch), so they're not worth posting. For example, see attached.

I'll try to get some daylight shots for you but in the absence of those trust me that it looks like polished alloy in an elongated tear drop shape.

icic now.

The one from evo R and AutoExe is different finish. both titan but different finish.

the EvoR one is more like a mirror.

the EVO R one has all different colour looks on it. just like some titan cat back looks.

But the auto Exe one just look polish and silver...

Don't know if you know what i mean. and i might be wrong.

but thats what i think for now....!!

the one we are offering is done in Burnt Titanium finish... therefore, it will change its colour with temperature...

We rubbed the Ti **** for serveral times and it turned from purple into blue... but if you leave it there to cool off for a sec., it will turn back to purple again...

Here is a demo pic...

cheers,

richie

Yes, you are correct. Mine just looks silver and doesn't change colour.

Personally, I don't see the point of the colour change thing (I think it looks worn) but everyone's different. Whatever floats your boat.

I always see colour changing goodies like that in Asian markets o/seas - they're usually sub $5 things.

It probably looks better than what it does in the pics - but yeah, each to their own; just my opinon on it.

Colour changing is a think of the HK. But not these one. This one changes from one colour to the other.

HK stuff changes to a rusky dull colour and stay there
