Why would anyone want to stay all the way over there?
I'm staying at the Doubletree Spectrum. I'll be able to look right at the entire SevenStock event from the window of my room and they are matching the
rate of the "official" hotel.
Better than being seven miles away looking over an airport.

Why? For the added convenience of an elevator ride to the social and banquet. The Doubletree is a great hotel and I'm sure your stay will be nice. Thanks for your input and see you at Sevenstock 9.
I guess that is cool if you plan on being really drunk at the banquet.
I prefer the option of shooting back to my room on foot during the event for a shower and a nap after I get all dirty detailing the car.
Also gives my wife the option of chilling when she gets bored...
Yep, the doubletree is a few hundred yards from MNAO. So is the Irvine Spectrum with almost unlimited things to do and eat. Trust me, your girlies will not be bored sitting around an industrial park this time around.
Hmmm, I wonder if Ford's Premier Auto Group(Jag, Land Rover, Daimler, Volvo, etc) next door is going to steal a little of the spotlight with their products? FoMoCo owns the property.
Any Sunday Event? *cough*AutocrossElToroMarineBase*cough!* :D
i called the hotel for reservations and they said that they didnt have any more rooms available under the sevenstock blocked rooms. they had a few rooms available for saturday only at the $99 price listed. they had other rooms available but for about $130 per night......
^^ Uh, waited a little too long?
Try the good hotel (Doubletree Spectrum) instead of the official one. They offered RCCAZ/AZMC members a matched rate and they are just two blocks from Mazda.

Two blocks from Mazda and still have to wait in the same line as others to get in
Jokes! Doubletree is a nice Hotel and we tried.. but they could not accomodate our Banquet needs. If anyone is having trouble getting the SS rate at the Hilton please pm me. Thanks
Nah. We will already have staked out territory the day before. No lines for us!
If you say so! The organizing committee and as I are settling plans for how folks enter and where from as I type Anyway.. Enjoy your stay at the Doubletree. It's a fine hotel! Again, if I can assist anyone with Lodging, Banquet Tics or anything Sevenstock related please PM me.

I was waiting to make sure I could go and I just got my reservations. They still have rooms in the hotel but not at the convention rate. Normal rate is 139 a night.
We added more rooms to our block. Call the Hilton back and get your rate changed. If you have trouble please pm me with your reservation # and full name. Thanks

Awesome, I just got it changed.
Thanks a ton! That's $80 more I can spend on raffle tickets, lol.
We haven't booked a room yet but coming up from San Diego, it's not truly a necessity. However, since my daughter is coming along this year, we may do some shopping on Sunday. Does anyone know if both hotels are still offering special rates?

Call them and make a reservation for SS, if not send "88gt" a PM, and he'll help you out... this is for the Hilton.
