Series II battery fitment question

Hey all, quick question.

Does the series II also require reverse terminals for batteries?

My current battery just sorta died, 'no crank, no start' after being perfectly fine. I only had one sign a week ago where it took a bit to turn over, after that it acted pretty normally. I got this battery jumped and recharged, but I'm thinking I don't want to take any chances of being stranded. Battery was oem replaced under warrenty at 15k miles and I am at 60k now with an oem battery.

I am thinking of getting an optima red top 35R, will this fit? From s1 threads it sounded like I may need some kind of spacer...

Yes you will want he 35R. The batteries used to come with a tray that needed to be placed underneath for it to properly fit the expected height so make sure the one you are getting has it.
