I am new here and been looking over the search for this problem and found only one topic similar to mine but wanted to see what else might be causing this. I find that everytime I hit the throttle and get to 5800 to 6200 RPM's I get this faint brief whistle sound almost like a blow-off valve it goes away at higher rpm's or when I shift. My car is an 05 and has 33,000 on original motor and is bone stock.

My car has the same thing man.. my friends even asked me if i had installed a turbo hahahahah

My car has mazdaspeed CAI but it did it when it was stock.. I havetn had any issues im at 48K miles..

only thing now im getting a couple trouble codes and the car is runnninnggg LOOW on POWAAA

my car whistles from 3.5k to 4.8k sounds like a turbo spooling up. not sure what the deal is.

can you hear it at idle? on my car I have a high pitched whistle like sound coming from my alternator.....don't know if it's normal or not

i have that same thing... im not sure what it is but i thought it is the upper intake.

i had that too and i had my engine replaced..

how does a sound coming from an alternator have anything to do with having the engine replaced?

I would think it's just an alternator or pulley issue

Forgot to add when I have the windows rolled up it sounds more like a slight grinding sound, windows rolled down sounds like a whistle.

mine makes a whistling noise right when i accelerate in 1st and 2nd but it only does it for a second, i did nothing to the engine
