Starting Issue

On Tuesday I believe I went to start my car and I got click click click! I tried to crank it a couple times more to see if it would turn over.....no luck. So I said whatever and took my dads truck to work luckily he has another vehicle (08 STI yes my dad is a badass old man). I let a day pass by i was to frustrated to deal with it right away. The next night coming home from work I noticed the trunk was slightly open I figured that was the culprit the day previous I had taken my snow brush out the trunk to help my dad clear off the car and well probably didnt close it all the way . I purchased this car used 12,000 miles and looked under the hood at the battery it was a "built to last DURALAST" piece of crap battery that looked to small for the batter box and the terminals were corroded and had blue electrolyte looking gunk on it.......great. I ran to the nearest Autozone picked up a quality battery Optima yellow top and reconnected everything. I jumped in the driver seat crank it and it started right up. I took it for a 20 minutes drive up and down my local highway grabbed a chicken snackwrap from Mcdonalds because im a mess and parked the car in the driveway. I come out the next morning turn the key and no nothing not even click click click any ideas? My dome lights or door lights dont turn on or anything like they previously did when i was getting just the clicking.

Loose connector?

You should get SOME kind of glow from the lights if the battery is connected....

I always assumed a click click sound was a faulty starter motor.

So it was the battery connection the contacts were so corrroded from the old battery i filed them down to expose some new metal and clamped them down pretty good and it started right up. Im going to replace them prettys soon they will probably keep corroding.
