Is She Dead?

I was driving Lilha home today (she's a 04 gt 6-sd w/ about 85k). As I was pulling into my road, I rev-matched into first and took off. She was running fine for about 3 seconds, after that then I pushed in the clutch to shift to 2ed..a noise...then it wouldnt go into any gears.. I let it roll to a nearby parking lot and as soon as she stopped the engine died...

The transmission would allow me to go into gear after it was off and there's still pressure on the clutch but when trying to start it again it just shakes violently like it's off balance..

I could tell the compression was going down in the recent months due to nearly impossible hot starts so chances are it wouldn't start even if it was fine...

What do you think? Is she dead?

I'm gonna go out there and try to start it again in about an hour and will report back..

Definitely sounds like the clutch or transmission. Time to start pulling things apart.

I took the clutch out this morning, it looks okay to me (see attached photos)...I'll probably go ahead and have someone weld it anyway though. BUT something i did notice, after I took out the clutch, see the youtube video below. Is that suppose to depress like that?

Okay, I guess it is suppose to do that... I see how it works now that I've put it back in..

So I adjusted the plunger down a little bit and got it to start and the clutch is disengaging now... BUTTT, now the safety switch that's pressed when the clutch is engaged is not being reached. I had to reach down there and press it to start the car..

I tried readjusting the plunger all the way in both directions but that doesn't make any change. I must be missing something here.. anybody know? Glue a nickel to it? :P
