Is this a rotor housing crack?

I was Installing the Mazmart Oil regulators and i notice a small crack on the 1st rotor housing.

What do you think?

I can't see a crack either. Perhaps a "have to be there" thing. Or overly enthusiast-anxious.

I see no crack. You may be referring to that little chip in the housing, but considering how thick a housing is...

yes i'm refering to the little chip. i don't know how thick is the housing so i don't know.

looking other rotor housings this is the first time i saw something like that.

Oh, the chip; could have just said that or better taken a minute and circled it in the picture. Anyway, it's quite thick at that point. I can measure my "trophy" housing this eve if you're that concerned.

Looks normal to me other than the chip but i don't think it an issue. Is that a reman engine? My car had a **** load of silicone between the housings (explain's my UOA's)

Looks like a small flaw in the casting. I would say that there is nothing to worry about.

you would probably be losing coolant and finding a chocolate shake in the oil pan if it were.

~5/8" thick material at its narrowest point and that chip appears to be superficial. As Easy indicates it just seems to be a minor casting flaw.
