Smile lose of power / 2 different readings

Ok, So i am losing that boost you get right after 4000 rpms and i took it to a friend and we found on his scanner that my secondary air intake was malfunctioning. (keeping in mind that there has been no engine light or anything like that come on yet, so what this was actually reading was a code that wasnt totally overtaken because it didnt happen enough to actually make the light come on)....delusions of glandure.....maybe someone else has an opinion on that.. So anyway i just took it to the dealers and they didnt find that code but they found a leed code (which isnt actually a code either, its just letting the computer know that this could be a potential problem...(this is what the person at dealers said) ....so maybe its like my friend was saying...?) So this leed code was for the oxygen sensor on the back of the catalyc converter. I dont know if this sensor has anything to do with the Air Intake that my freinds scanner found or the leed thing that the dealer found or if those 2 are actually connected somehow..i havent been able to figure that out, if someone could make sense of that that would be fantastic! the dealer said they drove it and everything seemed fine except for some loss of power in the higher rpms (which is what i exsperienced later on afterr i took it from the dealers) and so they said to just get some new plugs cause they looked old. (i just replaced them 10,000 miles ago but i put some cheeper ones in ...the 20$ ones insdead on the 40$ ones. so i guess those dont last that long at all. but this is all fine and dandy if these plugs work and thats all it is and then i just have to get this oxygen sensor fixed here soon and that would be great, i just dont want to keep driven it if there is something wrong with the Air Intake and then im causeing more problemsor that what my friend found was just coinsidence and what the dealers found is all there is? maybe some could explain that to me..Thanks again

sounds like your cat may be going bad? That is the only thing the rear o2 sensor does is monitor the cat.

you should be able to hear the secondard open and close when you run it out in 2nd gear. Loss of power in the higher rpms sounds like the secondaries. I wouldnt expect a lot from an o2 sensor and plug change.

Thanks for the input. well i put some new spark plugs in (40$)denso, and i have more power in the begining rpms but it wont wind out to red line. so if i would just putt around i wouldnt even notice, but i. fryin to figure this out since i will have this car for a long time. before i did the plugs i took it to the shop and they reset my transmision model. they said it would have to learn the way i drive and then things ahould work. so i have been drivin it and it does seem like its gettin better but it still wont redline. 9 out of 10 times everygear(1-4 speed stick) will stop in the 6000's some where. ((i redline at 7500, 1st goes to 7000, 2nd goes to like 6800 and 3rd will not go past 6100 and takes forwver to get there,i dont know bout 4th i dont have enough road. )) the secondaries im assuming are some more gears? maybe i could get an explanasion of those but ya that kinda of sounds like what is goin on since im not able to go thru to redline but drivin like i didnt want to figure this out is fine. any more info on this whole ordeal would be great thanks again!
