Coils getting power but no spark

Hi

Please help me if you can.

I am having a problem with an 04 RX8. We have reconditioned the motor, it was run in, then de did a turbo conversion with a Powermod ECU.

Firstly, the electrician mixed the phases of the injectors which I diagnosed and rectified. The injectors are RC 650cc. They are all working.

Problem is, I measure the correct voltage, earth and when the motor swings, frequency at the coil connectors. All four coils won't spark.

Can anyone please shed light on this?

I wish to mention that the Powermod ECU does not interfere with the coil charge at all. That is controlled by the main ECU. The Powermod does override mainly the injector and crank position sensor circuits.

There is also no visible transponder issue

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks a lot

If the powermod overrides the ess, then that would be a good place to start.

If I understood you correctly then I don't see how they wouldn't fire unless the wiring for them is crossed up too.

Lucky you are having this issue before your bigger issue kills your engine . The powermod is only suitable for 5-6psi tops . With that boost you can run the stock injectors . If you ditch the rc injectors and go back to stock you will be much better off .i ran a powermod 10 years ago and has no problem with the coils at all .
