Stock Cat vs 200 cell hi flow sound

Hi
I have searched and found nothing to answer my question. I was wondering if anyone has installed a hi flow cat to the stock exhasut system?
If so are there any notcieable increases in exhaust noise?

Thanks

Antony

Black Halo Racing catted midpipe is the only one to buy with out any problems of melt down that I know of.

Even with the BHR cat option, he says not to use in race applications because they can fail. There is an expensive cat that can be used. Unsure of the name though. Teamrx8 has posted about it Edit: the BHR one is better than most aftermarket options though. As far as noise, I doubt there is much difference. Even with no cat there isn't a huge increase in sound.

BHR's midpipe won't fail, but the catted version certainly can. One guy testing out the Davesport cat element had it fail in one and a half autocross runs. It's simply a matter of heat.

In regards to the OP's question, any exhaust change will change the sound. The midpipe's design can make a significant difference, depending on what that design is.

The only one I'd recommend for a rotary engine, you'll need someone to weld it in
