Ok i recently did a motor swap on my 05 rx8 Automatic transmission. I realize that when i put my car into drive it goes into gear one. like the light comes out for gear 1 and it shows up on dash. and it revs all the way up to 7 but does not change gears. then when i come to a complete stop. the 1 goes away and its almost like my car goes into "safe mode" the AT light comes on and the tsc/dsc Light comes on (skid mark car thing) and then it drives fine except the take off is a little slow. its almost as if it was stuck in a high gear till it reach that gear. any ideas? i mean i did lose some fluid on my torque convertor when i did removal and forgot to put some back in? could that be a problem? i honestly have no idea. So if any ideas let me know. i can provide videos next time i drive it out.

Checking/correcting the fluid level is a good start.
