414 WHP Esmeril Racing Turbo RX-8

We promised it and here it is.

The run was done with the same setup as the previous run but at 16psi.

This time the dyno was well vented and although the humidity was not ideal the numbers speak for themselves.

The car ran extremely rich above 7000 rpm with the AFR dipping into the 9's past 8000 rpm. We only did a few runs and didn't attempt to tune the rich area. Regardless, our goal was accomplished, we were happy and decided not to push it anymore at that time.

The dyno rpm pickup was having trouble in the high rpm range possibly due to the rich condition so we had to plot the run with MPH on the X axis. The run was done in 4th so rpm can be figured out if needed.

Torque peak was 304wtq.

Thanks for the support.

Chris

This was on pump gas with very conservative tuning. We do not recommend going above 16psi on 93oct.

This brings back a question that was poking around in my head. How long do people expect a stock tranny to last? And how could it be expected to last on FI?

The never ending fight against wear and tear!

Besides the ignition upgrade, did you do anything else to the car with your toys and prototypes? Is it the Stage 1 fuel upgrade that came with the kit? Engine does not have a prototype of your new apex seals in it?
