Rx8 2004 Japan NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody,
I have a Mazda rx8 2004 model I imported it from Japan.
One day on the motorway I wanted to check the top speed of the car i took it in 5th gear (its a fivespeed) and it wouldn't go any further than 187kph.
It seems like it is limited at 187kph.
Does anyone know how you can remove the limit because the rx8 should go up to 250kph if im not wrong.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

You probably need to find a tuner to reprogram your ECU.

you only have a four port motor, and in japan all car has speed limiter.

All Japanese car has speed limiter.

4-port MT should go 230 KM/H max.

HKS and RE Amemiya have a picky back unit to do it
Knight Sport can re-flash and unlock from ECU.

MazdaManiac mentioned that COBB Access Port also can do that too.
I PMed him for confirmation but he did not reply.

It ain't cheap. But it will get the job done.

One drawback is it might intervene with traction control.
I'm not sure if new version solve this problem or not.

That's really annoying because rx8 is a sports car so it should at least do 230kph/h

you can actualy slightly press the clutch in and it will keep pulling past that.

but yeah, I say get the hks. Should be about 100 bucks.

the SLD takes off the DSC once you get past the 187 mark. won't you need it, especially in high speeds?

can't the E-Manage Ultimate take the limiter off? or maybe even the Unichip?

if you can pay 500 euro is better to purchase an access port from mazdamaniac and he can remove the speed limiter + you tune your rx8 for better performance and reliability.

I hav jdm model type S rx8, now in what gear i have to press clucth because i hit 187kmph at 4th gear.
