problem with CD player

everytime i put in a new CD that i burnt, i cant skip through the songs. it sounds like the laser scrolls to the track, but then there is a click, and nothing plays. the only way the cd will play is if i put the cd in and just let it go through the songs. anyone else have this issue?

is there a way to fix it?

I remember something like this happening a long time ago with old CD players. Check your CD burning software and reverse the burn method. If it is Disc-at-Once, which I believe it is, change it to Track-at-Once, if not try the other.

Check your burning preferances. Itunes has a "gap between tracks" setting. Not saying that this is the reason but worth a look.

Dude, I've used Nero for so many years and all CDs I played in all my cars were burned using it. I sometimes get a few seconds of a skip at the very start of a track after selecting "next track" but it's only for a second and then plays fine. Try getting Nero if you don't have it already.
