Hello CLUB!


I'm trying to do my own footwells & I wanted to do something similar to what Aipex8 did which was to do this DIY
( https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-footwell-lights-179213/page2/ ) & go the extra mile & tap into the ash tray light for a different set of LEDs. I've searched around & even flipped through the electrical book for the RX8, but I can't seem the figure out what colored wires I'm supposed to tap into!

Find the two wires running to the ashtray light and report back what colors they are (I don't remember off the top of my head). Most likely one is black and that will be ground.

 

it looks like there are about 4 wires but I can only see three colors from the drivers side:

1. Blue w/ red stripes
2. Blue w/ light green stripes
3. Black w/ white stripe
4. A black wire (not sure if there's stripe)
