Good Engine Paint To Match Velocity Red?
Does anyone know of a good Engine Paint that would match Velocity Red?
I want to paint my Engine Cover, and am looking for a good Engine Paint that would be as close to possible to VR as possible.
Any suggestions would be great!

your not going to get any color to match VR is a three stage paint,,,
If you go to a shop they can paint it for you to match,,,
I would recomend PJs paint and body on RT1 thats where I get all my work done,,,

But about that PJ's Paint Shop, could they paint calipers? And if so, how much do you think it would cost?

I have no idea, but something like calipers you can do yourself,,,
Because its a high wear area it would be better to do it yourself anyway tha way you can keep doing over time as the paint ight chip away or fade..

Also, how did you use to tape off the wording on the engine cover so you didn't get paint on it?

Lots and lots of patience, the #M blu painters tape is just fine, layed one piece over, and rubbed down the edges so they would show through, then, and htis is the imortant part, used a brand new exacto blade, to cut the edges... Most people dont know that exacto blades performance only last about 20 or so cuts then they really dont start working so well,,,
Most people use them for 200-300 cuts,,, get a pack, I think I used about 5-6 blades on the lettering, thats the hard and patient part of it the painting is the easy part,,,

Here Is My Attempt At Painting The Engine Cover
So here is my attempt at painting my 8's Engine Cover. This picture isn't the best, I had to use my cell phone...can't seem to find a camera around the house.
There are still some spots that I need to fix and touch up, but I hope to have it finished within the next few days.
I also want to put a clearcoat overtop of this once it is completely dry, to give it that nice shiny look. Any recommendations?
