Cool Brake calipers&pads painted silver w/ MS logo!

Well, I always wanted to do that, the color of the calipers is just awful! Maybe cortc has beat me to it, but we talked about it a while back and we had the same taste of color!

I did it in a different way, took me only half an hour each (a friend helped me:p) and the result is a little bit different. I painted the upper part of the brake pad in the same color (I wanted it to look as a big massive silver caliper:D!) but, to tell the truth, I'm not finished yet...

I still have to produce some stencils on there! I'm not sure which is the best way though, I'm trying to figure it out.
*Cortc help me please... how did you do it? I could use some advice from an expert*
I'm thinking of two possibilities: either a "mazdaspeed" or an "RX-8" logo. Which one do you guys think is gonna better?

Here is a pic of the front caliper

...and that is the rear

Notice I painted the center part of the brake disc too. There's a lot of silver there...

Looks great, Rotor. I think a black RX-8 logo would look really good on the silver. Keep us updated.

Looks good my friend, as far as logos go; if you are going to put a few Mazdaspeed parts on the car then go with it, otherwise I like the RX8 logo... Later tonight I will post more info on how I created the stencils and the painting process...

Thank you cortc once again!
You are quite right on this part: I didn't know a lot about mazdaspeed products but your threads got me convinced:D especially for flywheel, rear spoiler and strut bars! I'm seriously thinking of buying some of these stuff, if not most of them! So the ms logo must be better.
I just hope that the warranty stays after they're installed!
By the way, I wanted to ask you, do you have the four point or the two point SB?

Good job on the calipers. I have been wanting to do this for some time but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

MS suspension is the best mod I have done so far. It is the way the car should have come from the factory. It does not drop the car too much and the ride is just right. You feel so much more in touch with the road and if you think the car handles well now then you are in for a nice surprise! Handling is now AMAZING.

Thanks for sharing your impressions SMigneco! I've read about the suspension, but I wasn't sure if what people said was true. I'll put that in my future list then...

And do the calipers, it's really worth the time! The car is now awesome, I'll post a pic from further away to let you see...

Ended up with the same as you, my disc hubs were rusting badly and asked the dealer to sort it out, so they sprayed them, and the calipers and pads too !!!

That's really nice! Great rims too!
Yeah, they do look identical! Some paint musta gotten between the pad and the disc, right? Happened to me too, got a little upset (thought I ruined the disc), but I nailed the brake pedal a few times and it came back to normal...
Will you try to put a logo on the caliper? These days I'm really busy and don't have time to do mine...

All of the MS parts should not void your warranty, so you should be ok... I have the US spec two pt, I may be getting the four point this week; will keep you posted... Go for the Mazdaspeed logo, it really looks good...
