CZ 1.1, low rpm is not stable!

I have my CZ1 installed for more then a week now, and when the car is at low rpm (1k to 4k), it feels like I am lifting and steping on the gas paddle really quickly. Its a weird feeling, does any one else have this problem?

Nope. I thought Maurice indicated that they didn't even modify the fuel maps below 5 or 6k.

Have you tried turning off the Stage 1 to see if it still acts the same way? Or fully reset the PCM? Or unplug and plug-in again to make sure all the connectors are correctly seated?

disconnect the battery, step on the brake pedal a few times to clear the caps, hook the battery back up.

Will that effect our 'm' flash at all? So, I'll just disconnect the battery, pump the brake a few times, switch my CZ 1.1 on/ off a few times, reconnect the battery and all will be reset? Start the 'M' flash and CZ 1.1 from scratch at that point? Hopefully this will bring the power back to my car. Prior to the 'm' flash the car was very strong thru the range but now I don't feel the same power. At this point I don't know what to think. Did the 'M' flash not work as well as once thought or is my CZ 1.1 not mapped as well for the 'M'? Anyone have any ideas?

I had this problem yesterday. I don't think it was anything wrong with the ECU or CZ.. I think that it's just a bit more touchier since it's more powerful, and I was tired.

I didn't have this problem when I had my unit in. But it was only in for less than a week.
I'd try to take it out for a day and then reinstall it and double check all the connectors are in.

Well, It was the first time happening to me.. and it was later in the afternoon after driving from tampa, to the orlando meet, then around orlando in the heat.. so it could have been heat related or me being tired. It was probably the latter. However, it definately is something to keep an eye on.

I dun know, I have been having the cz on my car for about 2 weeks. The jolting is going away, but it comes back sometimes which is very annoying. I really hope that this will not do any damage on my car. I mean teh CZ1 does make the car go faster, but definitely NOT A LOT FASTER.... in my point of view. And my MPG is not getting any better maybe a little.

Either my CZ is a lemon or the cz is a lemon.... (can I use the word lemon here ?) anyhow... i am going to call Canzoomer and ask him what I hsould do.

If I recall correctly, there was one faulty unit that I read here. And Maurice and crew was able to retreive the unit, test it and fix it. Yeah, calling Maurice is the best coruse of action as there should be no hesitation (bumps) from the car at any rpm.

The motion your describing, does it happen when your giving it very light throttle, mainly at low speeds?

Also, 25 HP will not make a rx-8 a lot faster. The extra HP that the mod provides will make passing at high speeds easier, but as shown for stuff like 1/4 mile, it's not that much faster. I dont think your unit is a lemon per se, I just think a lot of epople really expected to feel the HP increase a whole lot more by the way some people described it.

I recieved my cable and software and updated the unit tonight. It does feel smoother to me and the rpm's increase noticably faster than before. I only drove it 30 minutes or so but it feels better. This is with the M flash and update is dated 4/05/04

Based on the video I saw showing how much faster the tach needle climbs with the mod, I would think that would make a significant difference in the 1/4 mile times. How could it not? Maybe its a question of what does "significant" mean?

anyhow..
its almost all gone now actualkly
so its all good
