Bad AP?
So, today I go to plug my AP in on the way to work and something weird happens. It lights up and starts powering fine, but as it was powering up the screen got a little wavy. It came up to the monitor screen so I clicked to go forward, then I clicked the top option to view current engine readouts (I seem to have forgotten what the exact name was of the option.) Anyways, when I click that it just shows the background on the AP and nothing else.
I have popped the OBDII pluggin out of it's holder under the steering wheel and also keep the cable plugged into it at all times. I did unplug it and reseat the connection after this issue started. I unplug the AP each time I'm done with it also.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if there's a fix, otherwise I will need to call COBB and see if they can fix it under warranty since I just purchased it new from them a month ago.

Well, before I contacted cobb, I figured I would try to uninstall the cobb from the ecu. Well, clicked uninstall and the lights flashed on the dash like i was resetting the ecu. Then the cobb said it was unable to connect. Now I just have a 3000lb chunk of metal sitting in the garage because the car won't even turn over anymore. Man I'm heated right now.

So I spoke with Cobb and I guess it was an issue that the older firmware was having. The memory cache would never dump itself and just gets overloaded. I tried to update the firmware, but since the memory was full on the AP it kept getting stuck at the final step.
Just sent off my AP with my ECU to Cobb. Who knew overnight shipping would cost $50. Also, the ecu is a pain in the *** to get out. I thought it would be just the 3 bolts underneith the cover and it would pop right off. Nope, have to remove the 3 brackets around it too.
Anyways, they said it should be a quick 1 day turn-around so hopefully I'll have my car running tomorrow or the next day.

I got my AP and ecu back today, plugged in the ecu and it fired right up. I probably won't use my AP anymore until I get custom tuning from MM in the next month or two. I was going to do it this month, but all of the random supplies I need from moving into a new house over the weekend add up quickly.
