Question Race pipe dyno results

Sup guys, I have been looking for some dynos posted here but I have not found any dyno before and after installation of a race pipe or the Supercat pipe. Do you know if there is any out there?, I have heard something like 10hp with only the race pipe, but like I said, have not seen any dyno. Thanks

You will NOT get 10 hp from the pipe alone. Closer to 6 hp. The 10 hp is from basically removing the whole exhaust & having no restriction. I put up the D Sport dyno a while back, & it confirms what Racing Beat has said. The whole exhaust swap will net you about 10 hp.

Why are you worried about HP gain on just a racepipe? Even if it was 10hp, what's that gonna do for you?

Gains are highly dependent on other modifications so you would have to find a reliable dyno done on a car with the exact same components and nearly the same conditioned engine to determine the actual gains. A midpipe will give you more a lot more if you have a turbo/supercharger or if you have an AP with a good intake and exhaust. A supercat should net you almost the same but tends to be significantly louder and burn out faster than an OEM cat pipe. Some of the dual resonated midpipes are actually quieter than the supercats (but still have the stink).

& it confirms what Racing Beat has said. The
Huh? RB has only stated that removing the exhaust muffler from the RX8 and replacing it with a straight pipe exhaust only nets ~5hp. I have never seen a statement from RB regarding removing the cat.

Back in the day, they used to have a component list on their front page, & they stated that through their test, even with no exhaust on the gain was about 10 hp. In no case would hp from just the midpipe be more than about 5-6 hp.

Wow, haven't seen fanman in a while.

Question has been answered. However, test pipe + tune will yield definite better results.

Thanks guys for your inputs...

JTtheDude thanks man, I had seen that dyno sheet but I am looking for a dyno of someone in the club and not from the store that sells the product, as we know the manufacturer always claims unrealistic hp gains.

Hmmm. a quicker car I guess....I am not looking for the gains from the race pipe alone since I have an AP aswell, so combined would be a good combo. Maybe 10hp is nothing in real world situation but when you add a race pipe, plus AP, exhaust, header, etc you definitively will feel the difference between stock and modded, just my opinion...I have had turboed cars modified from stock to FI and of course the difference is HUGE, I just want to make my 8 a little quicker
