Ridiculous detailer
I saw a post a few minutes ago by a guy who did an amazing detail job on a GTR (Wes R x GT-R) and that was very impressive. Then my girlfriend showed me this thread:

This guy is SICK. I've never seen a shine/reflections like that anywhere, and he's got 30 pages of photos, as well as exact info on the products/steps he uses. And his prices are phenomenal- for $500 he spends THIRTY HOURS doing everything you could imagine to the car. (Not cheap per se, but for what he's doing, it's very cheap.) He spent SIX HOURS on the wheels alone, and it shows. Engine bay, undercarriage, wheel wells, shocks/springs, the works. Seriously, the way he talks about it and documents everything, you can tell that he's tremendously passionate about it all, I wouldn't have any worries giving the car to him.
If I only lived in florida, I'd be all over this.... (Though he says he does travel, so a group investment on some plane tickets seems like a damn good idea...NYC area, anyone?)
Enjoy....

We have a few good detailers in the tri-state area too. www.autopia.org
I used to do detailing but it got tiring quick since I am a full time student.

yea I'm waiting too, I am planning a long day of cleaning everything. I need to hit up the auto store anyway and get some more stuff.
Need me some scratch remover and some wheel cleaners/polishers
Maybe some polishers for the rest of the car for something to go on the wax or something.
I'm going to do what that guy did any put the car on jack stands so I clean out the wheel wells really well and get my calipers clean also. The blue is looking kind of black now.

Damn. Thats just retarded. The guy lives about 2 hours away from me, but theres no way in hell would i ever get that done for 500. My car would just get dirty again in the next few weeks. I wonder if that guy makes a living doing this.

Eh....I keep my car detailed. Don't need to spend that much time on it and I'm very meticulous about it. Come spring time I do a full day work up on her. That's when I swap wheels and the front bumper.
