Mazda Motorsports application

Hi guys,

Has anyone here applied for Mazda Motorsports membership?
I applied through the website with my race results, then received some extra requirements by email, so sent those as well. After about 2 weeks I got a boilerplate rejection email with some possible reasons and an invitation to reapply by email (With some other new requirements, like a picture of the car). So I addressed those and reapplied. It's been about 6 weeks and no news... sooo I was wondering if anyone here had been successful in applying, or if it's a dead end.

The only thing I can think of is that my race results are in French (being from French Canada), but it's annoying not having a specific reason for the rejection that I can act on. I've asked, but emails get no reply.

If anyone's gone through their process or knows who to contact, I'd love some advice!

Thanks,

Call them at 800-435-2508 during west coast business hours and ask for help. There are only a couple guys running it and they've always been very helpful.

I've been a member for 15+ years. I haven't provided results in a couple of years, so I just provided receipts for a couple of HPDEs I ran this summer and had no trouble requalifying.

Kind of off topic, but I was just wondering if applying for Mazda Motorsports would risk voiding the rest of my core engine warranty. Like by applying would Mazda ever see that record and void my warranty because of it?

^ I don't think so. They seem to want us competing with our cars and sell performance parts to us directly. I realize yours is a special case, however.

To the OP, I had no trouble qualifying. The first year I applied, I used some SCCA AutoX results. Now, I just provide MotorsportReg receipts for track days, and they always approve me. I have been a member for 4 years now.

I agree with wankelbolt. Give them a call. They are nice folks who will help you out.
