yeah it can but in my situation it would be more convenient to just be able to swap it out, less down time.

if i cant find one though i may just have to buy the rebuild kit

Ah okay but just so you know, places such as AMR (did my upgrade) or Majestic Turbo here in Texas have 1-2 day turn around times for basic rebuilds. You could buy a rebuild kit but then the assembly is not balanced.

be careful if you get one used that it is not complete toast. My center shaft could have been polished but AMR was strongly against it and recommended replacing it because it had some pretty bad heat damage. I ended up doing a full upgrade with a water-cooled/oil cooled center section and a 54 trim wheel.

No problem, I'd hate to see you buy one that was pretty useless. Mine was pretty bad but it wasn't a big deal since I was pretty set on upgrading anyway.

Have you considered trading someone +cash who hasn't installed their kit yet?

I'd do that for ya but my turbo wastegate arm is slightly bent, and I'm not 100% sure of the condition of the turbo.

But you might be able to find someone who recently bought one and hasn't installed it yet.

If you buy the rebuild kit ($100) I'll rebuild my old CHRA and send it off to get balanced ($65). You can change out the center housing yourself (I'll walk you through it).

For payment just send me your old CHRA once you swap it out as payment.

would i be buying the rebuild kit so that you could rebuild the CHRA you have with it? and then i would send you my unrebuilt CHRA to you once i swap yours in?

im trying to fully understand the plan you described sorry haha.

Yea you pretty much got it.

I bought a new upgraded CHRA, that may or may not work.

So my old one is dissembled and broken down.

Everything seems to be OK, there was no unreasonable shaft play before I disassembled it so a simple rebuild should take care of it.

I just figured since I had it sitting around and wont need it I could hook you up!

Here is the rebuild kit, you need to get a new heat shield as well.

http://gpopshop.com/products-page/mi...6-heat-shield/

These guys will also balance the turbo which I recommend!
