50,000 mile engine

Engine overheated and needs water seal replaced. This engine has never been rebuilt. Still runs great just leaks water into engine. Still has great compression and starts with no hesitation. Was going to fix myself just running out of time. Have to be is Missouri November for child visitation court. I would also consider any reasonable offer.

What would be cheaper? it was $5500 now what $4900? lol. I would rather rebuild mine or buy a used complete engine vs. that price.

^$1800 check Mazda dealers in VA. Guy is over @ rx7club he works for at the dealer. Here locally I can get it for $2000 in 2-3 Mazda dealers........ Call your local dealer, they will price match too.

I was quoted $2,500-$2,800 depending on the dealer.
Good compression used engines go for around $1,200.

The cheapest I can find used is around $2000 shipped or more

Thanks for the advice Novoken, I called Mazda today and they want $2001 plus $1000 core, so I have to turn this engine in.

^no problem. I will go that route whenever my engine fails. Ive been having hot starts for a while now but its still strong. It actually been getting better since its colder outside.
