I talked took these pictures at the st. louis auto show and talked to the mazda rep there. He guarenteed me that with an aftermarket cat and a chip the rx8 would pull 320 hp. If 70 hp isn't an impressive gain for less than $1000 I don't know what is.
The picture of the engine is particularly good, i convinced him to take off the engine cover for me.

Well, it depends. If they've detuned the ignition and fuel maps that much at the factory, then it stands to reason. Now, whether or not that's true is a different question altogether...we'll just have to wait and see.
