What option package did you get?
#2
In Germany we have other packages (renesis=basic, challenge=sportive, revolution=sportive plus leather, moonroof and navi are always optional), but my car conforms with the GT package (revolution plus optional moonroof).
There's also no AT available here, but you can get both engines with MT (5 speed with the small one).

Like that there is a poll, since im under the Don't know what package to get catagory.
I know i would like the sport package. and i know i don't want the sunroof or Bose.
So i guess that leaves me with the Sport and maybe dealer leather , i saw a yellow one at a local Mazda dealer with custom yellow and black leather, looked really slick but it was a $1500 extra for the seats and interior.
That sound about right?

I got the sport package because I did not want the moonroof or bose system either, The cloth seats are veeery nice and you dont have to worry about slidding arround in them.

Wow, Touring Package is that rare?
I couldn't fit in the Grand Touring's power seat. My head jams into the roof/frame. The manual seat is apparently lower, as I fit fine in it.
Plus, I figured the cloths were stickier, and I wanted a sunroof, so Touring it was

In Canada we have only two levels of trim.
GS - gets 18" wheels, cloth seats, cd changer, etc.
GT - get leather, TPS, Xenon headlights and some other goodies.
We get no TPMS, but headlight washers are standard.

I got the Touring pkg. because I didn't want leather, but I did want sunroof, xenons, auto-dimming mirror w/Homelink, and the allegedly upgraded Bose stereo.
Also, it just happened to be on the car I fell in love with -- the RED one. Hard to believe that in just over a month from now I'll have had her for a year!!

If in the US there would be a way to get the GT package with no sunroof, I'd have gone with that.
As it is, I went with the sport package - and it turns out I'm quite happy with this because I added leather since then (which I wanted). The only thing I'm now missing from the GT is the Homelink/auto-dimming mirror and the heated outside mirrors - but these are not too important.
Luckily I don't have the Bose system (much easier upgrade with the base stereo) and even the non-power seat is nice (lighter) although I'd love to have lumbar setting.
It was much cheaper to get the sport only.
All in all, I'm a happy camper
