What a difference ONE DAY can make!
When I picked up this car ('07 MT Touring in Stormy Blue) night before last, I was scared shitless of driving it. It's my first manual. Jerky, bucking shifts.... so much to think about... I got enraged every time I caught a red light b/c I knew I'd probably stall at the green. Drove it a couple hours yesterday. Then I left for work at 5am this morning to be sure roads would be empty. 20 miles later, I'm pulling into the office parking lot and simply cannot bring myself to get out of this car. HOLY CRAP I CAN ACTUALLY DRIVE THIS ****. You guys were right. It's the most fun I've ever had in a car. This is infreakincredible.
I've still got a ton of learning to do, but now I have complete confidence that I made the right decision to get the 8. Thanks for convincing me to get the MT, guys.
Now just 5 hours until lunchtime... or should I say LAUNCHtime?

Glad you took our advice Can't beat the MT!
I need to try that also. Theres a track about 30 minutes from my house and they do autocross. It's on the way to my school so I see cars running it all the time, looks like a pretty cool course (although I admit I probably wouldn't know the difference)
Wait till you try autocross (which you NEED to do)

Told ya it was easy! Glad to hear you're enjoying it, +1 that your next stop should be entering an autocross.

Now your enjoying life! Don't forget to read the manual. Some people here did not and did not find out till it was to late. The Rotary engine is oil injected and will need a quart every so often.

Yeah, I know. Now if I can just finish reading the 8 million threads on which oil to use, I'll be in good shape. Yes, I did search. No, I have not found a definitive answer yet...
