Well my engine let go after 73,005 miles. I'm still getting it prepped to go up to mazda for warranty still in the timeframe and mileage. Hopefully everything goes smoothly with the claims office. I was using Castrol GTX 5w30 most of it's life with about a yr or so of 10w30 when I lived in Florida. Premix 8oz per tank since 30k.
Everything was running great and a seal let go. Just broke at about 4-5k rpm taking off from a stop sign. I spun it over by hand and rotor 2 seal was comepletely missing. So it died a sudden death not a slow death like I was expecting. So hopefully it's covered by warranty and I'll be take at 9krpm before long.

Well heard from the dealer today. Replacing engine and cat under warranty. I just have to buy coils, plugs, wires . Prob will be buying some factory replacement stuff. Onlt issue is they claim that I have to pay for the comp. Test. Doesn't sound correct but ill have to get with mazda North America about that.
